The law changes in Switzerland!

From 1 of July 2025 the law regarding cargo bikes in Switzerland will change!

Everyone who has ever booked a test ride at Familybike has heard the “famous 3 rules in Switzerland”, but now 2 of these 3 rules will change for the better. (The 3rd rule was added in 2024 and states that every e-bike needs lights at all time, also when it’s day)

It will FINALLY be allowed to ride with 4 kids in the box, as long as all kids are safe, and the maximum permitted weight will also be increased.

As a cargo bike company with one of the biggest cargo bikes on the Swiss market, we are jumping up and down of happiness!

Now you will be able to use your cargobikes capacity fully!
